George, Manosari, Manoli, Manos, Nikola, Dimitri, Angli, and Georgios are all my friends at school.
School was really fun when our teacher was making the red eggs. Zoi’s teacher ripped the old shopping bags and tied the string which she put some plastic bags around. The teachers were making lots of stuff that we helped decorate.
We were playing and eating and making stuff. We did that for lots of days before Easter. We had fun and went out to play. There was exciting stuff because it was raining at school – we could play with so many things.
KIKI’s PRE-EASTER EVENTS
We made Easter cards at school and lots of working. We get so much homework. We get lots of maths and sometimes we get homework where you have to learn how to write something for the next day’s warm up.
Also sometimes we get something that we have to write in our book. Like a story about birthdays and lots of other topics. At Greek school there are five sessions and four breaks for 10-15 mins each. The first two sessions we always have two different subjects. The others we have only one subject. Mum says it’s like high school cause we have to move around classrooms – but if we are doing a subject with some of our teachers it is in our normal room. For example I have English in my classroom and ‘friendly exercises’. Friendly exercises are when we read books, draw pictures and colour-in pictures.
At play time I sit and eat things from my lunchbox and sometimes I talk to my friend Isabella.
Almost every weekend we see Isabella and her brother Alex and we play on the beach outside our apartment. Sometimes Manolis also comes to play especially when his mum is at my baba’s Bowen Therapy class. This weekend we caught 13 little fish at our beach. Manolis caught the most. I didn’t catch many fish – once when I caught one I didn’t see it in the bucket and I tipped it out by mistake. Alex told me that I tipped it out. When the others caught their fish I had to catch them in the buckets so the water didn’t overflow in the bucket. They were really hard to match. At the moment we are driving to the airport to go on a plane to our village for Easter. Manolis is going with his mum and dad to Ireland for Easter because his mum Dara is from Ireland.
We are now on our way to our village for Easter and I hear it might snow
